Where is the Werners Bikercamp located?
Werners Bikercamp is located on an idyllic mountainside with great views, in the middle of the forest and surrounded by the highest mountains of the French Alps.
The camp is located 17 km east of Barcelonette, a small commune in the northeast of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region between Provence, Piedmont and the Dauphiné. (Nice is still 150 km to the south.) With Google, that’s not a problem today, so here’s the route. If you prefer to do it without a navigation system, please read the description below.
Directions to Werners Bikercamp
From Barcelonette on the D9000 drive to 2 km behind Le Martinet. Attention, here you have to turn. At the road wall you can see is the signpost to Werner’s biker camp (see photo).
Then turn right at the telegraph pole. After the first house, the paved road ends. Now you have to turn right and continue on the gravel road. Follow the signs for “Les Jinquins”. Don’t panic, the path looks wilder than it is. Even lowered choppers have already come up here. As Werner says, “It’s all a matter of attitude.” After a few hundred meters comes a fork and there you have to turn right again and drive on the gravel road through a forest again 1 km to the camp.
